Welcome to Brown Blossom!
I am Dr. Banga, Board-Certified Osteopathic OBGYN & Creator of Brown Blossom. I help black and brown moms and daughters communicate more openly about the journey from puberty to womanhood. Puberty is an exciting, yet confusing, time for teenagers and their parents. I was blessed to have my mother, a women’s’ health advocate, midwife and nursing professor, hold my hand through my journey through puberty. I would love to be a resource for you. I believe every step towards becoming a woman needs to be celebrated fully. This was the impetus behind my creation of Brown Blossom. I hope you enjoy your Brown Blossom experience.

Teen Sex
Our teenagers are having sex. Whether we want to acknowledge it or not. I sincerely wish for us to have conversations with our young blossoms that aids them with tools which might come in handy when they find themselves in precarious situations. Consent.
